What are the primary phases of the project management life cycle?

The primary phases of the project management life cycle are initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure.

In the initiation phase, the project's feasibility and viability are assessed, and its objectives and stakeholders are identified.

The planning phase involves creating a detailed project plan, defining scope, setting goals, creating schedules, allocating resources, and developing strategies to manage risks.

During the execution phase, the project plan is put into action, tasks are executed, and progress is made towards achieving project objectives.

The monitoring and control phase involves tracking project performance, comparing it against the plan, and making necessary adjustments to keep the project on track.

Finally, in the closure phase, the project is formally completed, deliverables are handed over to stakeholders, and a post-project review is conducted to evaluate success and capture lessons learned.
