GOVT TO APPROVE SIT TEAM FOR MATKA│Prudent Media

Goa police has informed the High Court that they are in the process to constitute a 4 member Special Investigating Team to tackle Matka gambling in the state. Goa police has further contended that for the SIT name of 1 SP rank officer, 1 PI and 2 PSIs have been sent to the state government for final approval. The SIT will be headed by a retired judge of the High Court.

During hearing before the High Court on Wednesday, Goa police stated that they have recommended names of 4 police officers for Matka gambling SIT. The officers recommended are SP Bossuet Silva, PI Krishna Sinari and 2 PSIs. Goa police further contended that they are waiting government's final approval to constitute the SIT for Matka gambling.
