Should you go to college for programming?
PLEASE READ:

As I said in he video, I do not program as a career! So I can honestly admit that you should also consult those that do for their perspective on this question. The main reason I chose to present this question is because I wanted to emphasize on the "mindset" aspect of it. As I do with a lot of my videos, I prefer to emphasize on mindsets because often times, how you approach something mentally can affect your experience and the results you get from it. As we know, no desired outcome in life is guaranteed. There is no sure path to success in anything. But through our efforts and approaches to whatever we go after in life, we can increase our chances of success in finding what we want. This is why some may find success after college and some may not. Others may find success without a degree and others may not. There are too many variables at play to find a sure correlation between approach and outcome (variables such as employee requirements, your skills, your ability to market yourself, your location, competition, where you received your degree or what specific courses you've taken, and so on - This applies to many more areas). I truly believe, however, that approaching anything with an informed and wise mindset increases our chances of realizing a desired outcome (because it allows us to find clarity, evaluate ourselves and position and adjust where needed), which in this case happens to be a successful career in programming. Also, as I said in the video, I really wanted to get feedback from those who do program as a career as your perspectives on this question will be highly beneficial to those who may be presented with it. And, of course, you are more experienced than I am in this regard. So please leave a comment with your take on the question! :)
