Pain after spine surgery is normal, but persistent pain could indicate Failed Back Surgery Syndrome

Learn more about Failed Back Surgery Syndrome! ➡️    • Dr. Chappuis Explains Failed Back Surgery ...

Pain for a certain period of time after spine surgery is normal. However, if the pain is persistent beyond the normal timeline outlined by your surgeon or in a contralateral, or opposite, part of the body, you should contact your doctor.

Persistent pain after spine surgery may also indicate Failed Back Surgery Syndrome (FBSS).
