A look inside "BANKSYLAND" Exhibit in Toronto 2023.

An international touring exhibition that immerses audiences in the works of the world's most infamous and elusive artist: BANKSY.

The one of a kind exhibit includes original and studio works, salvaged street artworks, and never-before-seen immersive installations.

The exhibition also includes art work and photography from Dismanland.

Dismaland was a temporary art project organized by street artist Banksy in the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, England. Prepared in secret, the pop-up exhibition at the Tropicana, a disused lido, was "a sinister twist on Disneyland" that opened during the weekend of 21 August 2015 and closed on 27 September 2015, 36 days later. Banksy described it as a "family theme park unsuitable for children." The aesthetic of the "bemusement park" was potentially inspired by the "Dismayland" series of paintings created by American artist Jeff Gillette, who also participated in the exhibition.

Banksy is certainty a famous - but anonymous - British street artist, well know as a political activist with his satirical street art and dark humour.

In 2010, Banksy was selected by Time magazine for its list of the world’s 100 most influential people, he found himself in the company of Barack Obama, Steve Jobs and Elon Musk. For the article, he supplied a picture of himself with a paper bag over his head.
