The hulk is an amazing vanguard in marvel rivals, his abilities help him to keep fighting for a very very long time with his transformations. If you get some good healers, and you learn to play with your team and jump in and out of battles, you will be a mess to deal with. The most satisfying part for me as the Hulk is to smash enemies with my Monster hulk form. Do give hulk a swing, he will not let you down.
