Engineering in Plain Sight - 5 Manufacturing processes and an example of them

*Disclaimer:
When this video was made, I was not very well acquainted with some of these processes and I might've let some mistakes slip past me.
For instance, I am more than certain that the first example, the fire detector's deflector, was not made using hobbing and parting. It could have been done, but most likely not. my suspicion is that it was made by punching a thin metal sheet into the shape.
