So, four years ago, I decided to invest in a Desky sit-stand desk setup. I was really excited to see if it lived up to the hype, especially the whole adjustable height thing. Now, after four years of daily use and a move to a new room, I'm ready to give you my honest take on whether it's still worth it.
First up, the desk itself. After all this time, I'm genuinely impressed with how well it's held up. I've used it for everything – heavy editing, everyday browsing, you name it – and it's barely shown any signs of wear. Sure, there are a few little scuffs, but nothing major. The motor is still super smooth, which was one of my main concerns initially. It's been rock solid! I switch between sitting and standing multiple times a day, and it's made a huge difference to my posture and comfort.
Then there's the Desky Pro Plus ergonomic chair. I've spent countless hours in this thing, and it's been surprisingly comfy. The lumbar support and headrest have been lifesavers for preventing back pain during long work sessions. The cushion has softened a bit, but it's still supportive. I get asked a lot about wear and tear, and honestly, it's held up really well for how much I've used it.
The Desky monitor arm is another key part of my setup. I know some people have mentioned a clicking sound, and I'll talk about that in the video. For me, it's been super stable. It's allowed me to get my monitor in the perfect position, which has really helped with neck strain. I've moved it around a bunch, and it's always stayed secure.
I also added the Desky Bluetooth controller, which my kid has a lot of fun playing with. Oh, and I added some power points to my setup, which has been a game-changer for keeping things organised. Highly recommend that!
One thing to keep in mind, especially if you're thinking about getting a Desky desk, is delivery. These things are heavy! Make sure you have someone to help you, especially if you live in an apartment. Getting it up the stairs was a workout!
Overall, after four years, I'm still really happy with my Desky setup. It's been a solid investment in my health and productivity. If you're looking for a durable sit-stand desk and ergonomic chair, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. Just be prepared for the weight during delivery, and consider the Bluetooth controller for that extra convenience.
