Being a fully independent developer is a dream for many developers that I know. They either want to launch their own apps, they want to start their blogs or go freelance or in any way quit their job and become responsible for their own income. But how do you know when to do that and how do you stay productive? How do you plan? How do you find clients?

There's a lot of questions around independent life in this video. I took a look at how I manage my productivity after having gone independent about four years ago.
