Your Face is the Controller - This AI Animation Workflow is WILD

I've been playing around with this AI and it's honestly mind-blowing how well it works. You can control characters with just your facial expressions and head movements - and the accuracy is insanely good.

The best part? It’s very easy to use and does well with pretty much any character type you throw at it - realistic, animated, 3D, whatever.

It’s called Act One (from Runway) and I highly recommend you check it out. They just made some big upgrades and it's working like a charm.

DOWNSIDES - you need to keep your face visible and movements fairly controlled during the recording. But here's the trick: you don't have to use Act 1 for everything. Mix it up! Capture the key facial moments with Act 1, then blend in video-to-video or other footage for the rest. Trust me, when you stitch it together, no one can tell the difference on a small screen!

The speed is wild (classic Runway), and the results are super robust. For this test, I kept it simple with static character images, but I've been experimenting with video too and... wow. Can't wait to show you those results in my next video.

Here’s my overview of the workflow:
1. Create fine-tuned images of myself as a character using Replicate + Fine Tuned Flux
2. Extend/modify images as I see fit in Ideogram
3. Put original video (what’s on top) into runaway as source + image for “character”
4. Generate the videos + add the ones I like into Capcut

Bonus: Use results from part 3 as the source for "extend" and/or "camera control" to further adjust the videos that are created

So my main takeaway is - don't rely on one tool. Each one does different things well and to get the result you want the fastest you should be learning to find the things that work for you to get from A to B or from B to C.

The opportunity lies in the gap of connecting things that aren't so easily done.

BUT, Runway has been doing so good at continuously listening to artists and creators and improving their product day after day. So if there's one tool you should be looking into right now, I would definitely say it's them.
