Gljúfrabúi, also known as Dweller In The Gorge (or Canyon Dweller), is a stunning waterfall situated at Hamragarðar in South Iceland, 150m from the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
Tucked away in a narrow canyon, obscured from view by green moss-covered cliffs that nearly surround the falls, Gljúfrabúi descends 40 meters into a small pool.
This hidden gem is a must-see on the South Coast of Iceland.
When visiting Icelandic waterfalls, getting wet is inevitable, and Gljúfrabúi is no different. Since you can approach the falling waters of Gljúfrabúifoss, wearing waterproof boots, pants and a rain jacket is the best way to protect yourself from the mist.
