A driving test of my Traxxas Telluride, bought used, which I am converting into a proper trail-driving truck. It will never be an Axial SCX10, but it can come pretty close, with a low center of gravity and enough suspension articulation that it can "stand" with one wheel on an obstacle as tall as its own tires -- like any proper trail truck should.
Mods:
Pro-Line Badlands SC tires
20wt shock oil with 3-hole shock pistons
Shock travel limiters to prevent the tires from scrubbing the fenders
Drilled an extra lower-shock-mount hole further inboard on the front A-arms
Revo spool shaved-down to fit the 5mm outdrives, and installed in the front diff case
500,000wt silicone oil in the rear diff
Stampede 4x4 12/47 diff gears
9 tooth 32p pinion and 56 tooth 32p spur
Stampede 4x4 slipper clutch
Stampede 4x4 aluminum center driveshaft
Stampede 4x4 front light buckets
Custom-fit RPM rear bumper for Slash 4x4 onto the stock bumper frame
