There are a number of challenges when using a 7.4V lipo battery to run servos for my DIY SpotMicro robot dog. For this project, I am using the Adafruit servo hat and a 2S lipo battery (7.4V) to run servos from a Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately, 7.4V can overload most servo controllers. This video covers how to use a lipo battery to run your servos. Since I use the Adafruit servo hat, it also covers how to fix a servo hat to prevent it from being overloaded.
