Moka Pot Deep Cleaning

My old Bialetti moka pot deep cleaning and care.

This is how I treat my little old moka annually. Weekly I clean it with wet napkin and water to remove oils deposits. Aluminum must be treated with care, personally I prefer that there is a barrier of coffee oils between the metal and the liquid I drink.
Coffee oils tend to become rancid over time, I avoid creating scale. Daily I rinse it well with water after each use and let it dry disassembled. I change the gasket whenever it is worn or, while boiling, leaks liquid from the thread.
