In this story, you'll see how a school community has come together to encourage digital literacy, harnessing the Astro Pi Challenge as a tool of inspiration.
In the heart of rural Rush, Ireland, St Joseph’s Secondary School has been on an inspiring journey, thanks to a dedicated group of teachers and their enthusiastic students.
We met the team at St Joseph’s to delve into how they have introduced various opportunities for learners to engage with computing technologies and become tech creators.
The school's proactive approach to teaching coding from first year resonates with many learners, and teacher Mr Murray, or Danny as he is fondly referred to by learners and colleagues alike, is leading the way. Danny's mission is to instil in his learners the belief that they can achieve anything, and his mission has been adopted by everyone across the school.
