Currency Conversion | Numerical Reasoning Test Preparation | Episode 7

Don’t let currency conversion prevent you from converting the dream job. Episode 7 of our Numerical Reasoning Test Preparation series will make the pains of currency conversion a distant memory, or at the very least, something that you struggled with yesterday.

These tips will be sure to decrease your stress when faced with currency conversion.

Follow these steps to ace currency conversion:

Step 1: Read the question. How much GBP do you have when you return to the UK?
Step 2: Identify the relevant figures. CHF = 1.00, GBP = 0.67, EUR = 0.95.
Step 3: Convert 5,000 CHF into EUR. 5,000 x 0.95 = 4750 EUR
Step 4: Minus the EUR spent in Germany. 4,750 – 1,250 = 3500 EUR
Step 5: Convert Euros back to base currency. So 3,500 EUR ÷ 0.95 = 3,684 CHF
Step 6: Finally, convert CHF into GBP. 3684 x 0.67 = 2468 GBP.
