In 1871, during a scientific expedition in East Africa, the famous British explorer David Livingstone witnessed a terrifying event. While sharing a meal with his party in the savannah, they were enjoying a local dish made from dried meat called ""biltong."" Suddenly, a roar echoed through the air, followed by indescribable chaos. A hungry lioness, drawn by the smell, charged straight toward their camp. The men panicked, knocking over supplies and weapons in their desperate flight. Livingstone, injured by a beast during a previous expedition, narrowly escaped by taking refuge behind a campfire. Ironically, the dried meat, which was the centerpiece of their feast, was also what nearly condemned them to become the lioness's meal.
