Traditionally popular among fleet buyers, the Astra struggled to capture retail sales at a similar level to its competitors. There were areas that Opel needed to address in order to match the might of the Ford Focus, VW Golf, and Toyota Auris. The latest Astra narrows the gap to these models and leapfrogs many more besides.
