Wordpress vs Website Builders

My guide to website builders: www.sitebuilderreport.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_…

Should you use Wordpress or a website builder to build a website? Well, it depends— mostly on you. I’m going to explain the upsides and downsides for both website builders and Wordpress:

CMS's like Wordpress are powerful but have a learning curve. Website builders like Wix and Squarespace are easier to use but not quite as flexible.

Website builders typically have a drag-and-drop interface. It's a visual interface that let's you move things around the page. CMS's like Wordpress have form-based editors that are abstracted away from the page— so what you see on the form isn't necessarily what the page looks like.

CMS's like Wordpress can be a tricky. For example, you might need to fix code to get something to work. That doesn't happen with website builders.

Website builders like Wix and Weebly are less flexible but they always work.

Hosting is included in every website builder— Wordpress on the other hand needs to be installed on your own host. The upside is that you can export and move Wordpress websites. On the other hand website builders have to stay with the host (you can't move it).
