The Chinese authorities are preparing to bury their former leader Deng Xiaoping.
Security has been stepped up around Tiananmen square in the capital Beijing and at the Ba-Baoshan cemetery where he will be interred.
But the people are still in mourning.
Security was tight at Tiananmen square Sunday in preparation for Deng's funeral which will take place on Tuesday.
The flag in the square were held at half mast and policemen patrolled the area.
Honoured guards continued their rehearsals for Deng's funeral.
At the Ba-Baoshan cemetery life continued as normal as the capital of the nation prepared for the former paramount leader Deng Xiao Ping's funeral.
Ba-Baoshan is the scenen where important leaders are cremated and buried.
A memorial service for Deng is scheduled for Tuesday on Tiananmen square. Security was very tight and journalists were prevented from entering the square inside or near it.
