Word of the Day: pogonip

Our snowy landscape was made even more magical by frequent pogonip — a fog of tiny ice crystals that shimmered in the morning light. Our #WordOfTheDay, pogonip, is borrowed from a Shoshone word for “thundercloud,” and refers to icy fog seen in western mountain valleys. Do you know any other loanwords?
