STEPS TO START BANISHING IMPOSTER SYNDROME ⬇️

1. Keep a brag list and a nice things list

This is our undeniable stack of proof that @hormozi talked about.

It’s not bragging if it’s a fact!

List out your accomplishments and put them somewhere where you can refer to them when you doubt yourself. On my website, my “About Me” page is my Brag List.

A nice things list is a folder of where your boss praised you, when someone told you you impacted them positively, and refer to it on days where you feel like what you do doesn’t matter.

Our brains remember 0% of the positive feedback and 100% of the negative. We are critical that way. These lists give you a place to recenter yourself and build your own INTERNAL confidence that doesn’t depend on others feedback.

2. Say YES more

Say yes to the things you fear. You will never get better at public speaking if you don’t do it. Start small! No one tells you that your first talk has to be on a stage to thousands of people.

Do a meetup group. Make a video, but you don’t have to post it even. Do a toast a dinner with the family.

By saying YES, you gather more evidence that you are growing and improving.

3. Try Future Self Journaling

I told you not to shout affirmations. This has affirmations, but we are also SHIFTING OUR PATTERNS CONSCIOUSLY.

Write out answers to these questions, every day, for 30 days:

Today I will focus on shifting my pattern of…
I am grateful for…
The person I am becoming will experience more…
I have an opportunity to be my future self today when I…
When I think about who I am becoming I feel..

Even better, for bonus points, think of these things while you’re brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand.

If you want to say these out loud to better build the neural pathways, instead of brushing your teeth, balance on one leg!

This isn’t overnight.

But if you start today, it’ll come.
