Fall of Saigon: 50 years on — Vietnam eyes high-income future

Fifty years after the Fall of Saigon marked the end of the Vietnam War, Vietnam is now focused on the future. At a commemorative event in Ho Chi Minh City, the General Secretary of Vietnam’s Communist Party, To Lam, reaffirmed his goal of transforming the country into a high-income economy by 2045.
