SLAM Motion Planning

An early demo of the work done by Team IGVC at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in the year 2016-17.
The robot is given a destination co-ordinate in an unknown environment. This location happens to be in a closed room within our lab. The robot uses the mounted LiDAR to map the environment and uses its motion planning algorithms to figure out a route into the closed room via an attached room that is co-incidentally open. All the mapping and planning happens in real time and the robot works completely autonomously.
We have implemented many improvements since then and are now working on much more complex outdoor environments.
