Israeli Strikes Destroy Last Houthi Plane At Yemen's Sanaa Airport
Israeli airstrikes hit Yemen’s largest airport in Sanaa. According to Yemeni officials, the strikes destroyed the airport’s last plane and runway. Israel said fighter jets struck Houthi terror targets. The strike followed the May 25 Houthi attack on Israel, which triggered air raid sirens in Jerusalem. Houthis claim they targeted Israel's Ben Gurion Airport in their attack. The latest attack came weeks after Israeli strikes severely damaged Sanaa airport. The Israeli strike on May 6 destroyed six planes at the Houthi-held International Airport and led to the closure of Sanaa airport. Houthis claimed that the Israeli attack killed at least seven and wounded 74 others. The May 6 strike was also in response to a Houthi attack on Israel. Houthis have been attacking Israel and international shipping in the Red Sea in a show of solidarity with Gazans.
