paint with me (studio ghibli scenes) 🌿 a london art vlog, using gouaches and some real art talk

hey guys,

in this video, i invite you to paint with me while i get deep into some real talk! it’s my first time creating an art vlog in which i show some of the stuff i do and it’s also the first i address some of my more personal issues and doubts regarding my career choices and feelings towards art in general.

i feel like if you are creative it’s really hard not to compare yourself to other artists and question your own drive and passion for the subject you’re trying to ‘conquer’. it’s happened to me a lot and something i’ve learnt along the way is that it doesn’t help at all but it points out bigger problems regarding confidence and trust.

in this video i use the gouaches i got a couple of months ago and i recreate some of my favourite ghibli scenes from films like ponyo, my neighbor totoro and porco rosso. i also take you with me to the cemetery to sketch and colour some stuff with watercolour.
