Modern work is destroying our mental well-being. We're expected to spend years in school, endure exhausting job applications, then dedicate the rest of our lives to companies that drain us... all while they simultaneously search for cheaper, faster replacements through outsourcing and automation.
And the money we do keep? It gets funneled into a cycle of materialism — working more to buy more, chasing the things that never really fulfill us.
Somewhere along the way, we're told to forget our dreams. To stop asking what life is actually about. But deep down, we know something's wrong.
These are my thoughts on modern work, and how it connects to the deeper issues in society that we're all starting to realize.
