I've always been told that journaling was something great to do, but it just never worked for me. I was in a journaling class awhile back and the instructor said something that resonated with me. She essentially "gave me permission" to write in my journal however I wanted to. Prior to that, I assumed that each page had to be dedicated to a certain day and my journal had to have structure.

That was far from the truth.
