Cleaning out the oil check valve screens on the BMW E90 (N52) using brake cleaner. Tricky to film and sorry for the background noise, forgot the fan was running. These oil check valves are located on the side of the cylinder head and help keep oil on top of the engine in the cylinder head. The check valves have been associated with causing issues with the VANOS system on N52 engines due to lack of oil in the cylinder head and eventually causing a vanos related error code.
