Stripped guitar tuner gear (Jimenez Guitarron)

In this video I take apart a skipping tuner, and find a stripped brass gear as the cause.
A range of teeth are stripped. If you look carefully at the head stock, the etiology appears to be the downward angle of the 5th tuning peg (rather than up-slopping like the others). Up-sloping peg angle better mashes the sprocket into the worm gear.
