Accountants play key role in Singapore's pursuit of sustainability: Grace Fu

Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu has said accountants play a key role in Singapore's pursuit of sustainability. For example, they must increasingly consider risks brought on by climate change, including new regulatory requirements as a result of climate policies, on their companies. They can also identify areas in which firms can reduce their carbon footprint, such as water and electricity usage. Ms Fu was speaking at a business conference organised by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
