Intention to Action Gap #employeegrowth

There something psychologists call the Intention to action gap. It’s basically the difference between what people intend to do and what they actually do. We all intend to do a lot but action is way harder and way less frequent. When you are trying to change behaviors or get staff to do something, motivation is just the start. Once you build the desire and intent, you then have to create the process and next steps for action. Marketers use calls to action and do everything possible to remove any friction. With employees motivation and inspiration is great but remember there is a common place people get stuck when they fall into the intention to action gap. Help them determine the steps, possibly practice the first step, and create follow up to check in to make sure they made the leap to action.
