Dental Tools Used During a Teeth Cleaning - EXPLAINED!

In this video, we’ll talk about the different dental tools (aka dental instruments) you’ll see during a teeth cleaning and what they’re used for! For instance, there’s the probe, a tiny ruler that measures gum health, and the explorer, which helps detect tooth decay and tartar. Then we have scalers—also known as the “scrapers”—which remove plaque and tartar, along with curettes, which serve a similar purpose but have a less pointed design. The ultrasonic scaler uses water and vibrations to tackle buildup, while polishers smooth out the teeth, removing plaque and stains for a fresh, shiny finish. Let’s talk!
